FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We are here to help you with your financial journey. Here are some questions that we regularly receive. If you have anymore questions that we didn’t answer, contact us today. Thanks!

WHAT MAKES YOU DIFFERENT FROM OTHER ADVISORS?

Several things: At Journey Financial we are concerned with every aspect of your planning needs. It’s important for perspective clients to understand where they are at, where they want to be and what is the best way to get there. Our team of qualified advisors can help identify and recommend viable solutions for any planning challenge you may have. We are not only concerned with the placement of your assets but also the path to help you accomplish your objectives.

DO YOU WORK WITH OTHER PROFFESIONALS? IF SO, HOW?

We maintain a network of highly trained and respected professionals who we can refer our clients to for their subject matter expertise in associated areas such as tax planning, estate planning, business legal matters, liability insurance etc. These relationships are strictly professional. Journey Financial is not compensated by any fee sharing arrangements. Because of our desire to help you solve your planning challenges we will continue to maintain these crucial relationships for our client family.

HOW OFTEN WILL WE VISIT WITH JOURNEY FINANCIAL?

Mostly, this is up to you. We like to maintain regular meetings of approximately 2-4 times a year to review your situation. In cases where you desire less frequent meetings, we will accommodate your request but ask that we meet no less frequently than annually. If more frequent meetings are desired, that is never a problem. Every time your visit is complete, we will schedule the next one- we always want to make sure you are on our calendar because you and your family are important to Journey Financial.

I HAVE ALREADY ACCUMULATED SUBSTANTIAL ASSETS AND THINK I AM DOING QUITE WELL. HOW CAN YOU HELP ME?

People who need more sophisticated financial planning solutions or advice will find our services appealing and beneficial. From tax free income, estate tax minimization, income deferral, sophisticated wealth transfer strategies, charitable giving, ILIT’s and structured college savings options Journey Financial can assist in providing you with outside the box solutions for complex planning issues.

PLEASE TELL ME ABOUT THE FINANCIAL PLANNING PROCESS

At Journey Financial our Pathway Planning Process (PPP) has been established to identify needs and offer solutions. The first visit with us will be to get to know you and learn more about your expectations and discuss any concerns you may have. The second visit will be a solutions and strategy discussion. All your planning options will be discussed, and you can choose what strategies you wish to implement first. The third will be a review of our prior recommendations and we will then begin the implementation process. Once implementation of your plan begins, we will schedule regular visits to review and discuss your progress and any other concerns you may have. The number of times we visit with our client family is dependent on their needs, but we recommend at least twice annually or as needed for life’s events. The PPP has been a very effective process which addresses a client’s questions and concerns.

HOW ARE YOU COMPENSATED?

Journey Financial operates under the fiduciary standard and our qualified advisors can derive compensation as a percentage of the assets we manage for you, or if insurance products are utilized, commission will be earned which are paid by the insurance companies we use. There is no fee to create and implement a plan. If our firm can show you value, we would hope that you would allow us to implement your plan and join our client family.

DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM INVESTMENT REQUIREMENT?

No, there is currently no minimum asset requirement to work with us. Since we are capable of assisting you in many areas of planning, we know that Journey Financial can be of value to you utilizing our Pathway Planning Process. We recommend a first visit to determine your specific needs and we can determine together your next steps.
